The underlying energy of the week begins with the Moon at the 29th degree of Capricorn. When planets are at the 29th degree they are not polarized enough, neither masculine nor feminine. This gives rise to a feeling of paralysis. What to do next isn’t springing to mind. Saturn is trine to Pluto and this combination is motivating you to get rid of unnecessary baggage so that you can move more freely ahead with plans that you have formulated in the previous weeks.

Mercury in Cancer which keeps you caught up in the past is trine Uranus urging you to let go of memories and attachments that no longer serve your purpose. All the planets seem to be pushing us toward a more carefree and simple approach to life. Don’t get careless though because the square between Mars and Saturn make the environment more hostile than usual. It’s the struggle between time and space. In order to solve problems you must integrate time. This is painful as we want everything immediately.

Venus is retrograde for the next couple of months. This will cause us to review the area of our charts that Venus rules over. Venus is concerned with manners and etiquette so be on your best behavior as an opportunity from the past may be revisiting you. The atmosphere still seems a little stagnant. Try to be at the right place at the right time.

No matter how many doors or windows you open, it just seems like there isn’t enough air. And it turns out that there is only one planet in an air sign at this time which is Neptune in the sign of Aquarius. It’s like a glazed fog with no breeze. Don’t worry as you can find the communication you desire by changing your frame of reference. The Sun will enter the sign of Leo tomorrow and you will be able to clear the air as never before. There is a sextile aspect between Mars in Taurus and Uranus in Pisces. This gives a charge to the tasks at hand. You can wiz through the most difficult and tedious jobs without batting an eyelash. Your wit and wisdom will cheer everyone up including you.
The Moon in Scorpio sextile Venus in Virgo will add some intrigue to your long and adventurous days. Just point your wand in the direction you want to go and you will arrive in splendor. Things seem so easy nowadays.

Change is something that happens whether we like it or not. It’s important to maintain your values while taking advantage of the tide. Don’t try swimming upstream but use the momentum of the current to carry you to your goals. These changes don’t have to ignite a conflict but rather they should encourage cooperation. Go slowly and your will arrive sooner.

This is a good time to take some of the pressure off your self. Others may think that they have you chasing your tail but that couldn’t be further from the truth. You are going to be kind to yourself and take some of the well earned down time that you deserve. With the Sun in the sign of Cancer you are sensitive to the surrounding environment and your instincts are sharp. Listen to the little voice within and use it as guidance. You can trust yourself.

Venus and Mars are both in earth signs and are approaching a trine aspect, which brings your social life into the spotlight. Do things that you wouldn’t ordinarily do and enjoy every moment. Lots of new opportunities are on the horizon. Step out. The Moon in Leo will be coming into an opposition with Neptune in Aquarius, this undertone will give insight into your motivations and expectations. The Moon will also be trine Jupiter and this will give an especially charming side to your personality.

Try putting you feet into the shoes of others. Understand why someone feels the way they do about a situation. Be diplomatic if you don’t agree and find the many points on the subject that you can agree. People might come around to your point of view if you find some common ground upon which you can establish a rapport.

Tempers hit the boiling point during this coming week. There is no time to reconstruct our plan, we must go with the prevailing winds. In some sense there is a great divide that must be bridged. Fire and water are the dominant elements that determine our current circumstances. Water is either putting out the fire or the fire is causing the water to steam. Either way, there is some loss of efficiency as these elements don’t cooperate easily.

The Moon is trine Venus, so we retain a sense of calm even though we are aware that we are undergoing some turbulence. Pluto is also part of this grand trine which accounts for the situation. Although trines show a cooperation of planets, we must consider the nature of the planets that it unites.

Language is one of the many things that suffer due to lack of clarity. The spoken and written word are both open to interpretation. For example, the words “listening” and “hearing” have different meanings.

There are many problems in the world around us and we seem to be unable to find working solutions. The air and earth elements are minimally represented at the moment. Practicality and rationality are not strong at this time. Impulse and emotion are dictating action.

The Sun is conjunct Mercury in Cancer which makes letting go of the past more painful. The Moon in Capricorn challenges this instinct by making us acutely aware of the limitations of time. The past, present and future coexist. The only way to change what happens in the future is by changing the present. Changing the present is difficult because we are conditioned by our past. As my astrology teacher once said, “We have less free will than we think we do, but more than we will ever use.”

Venus and Saturn are conjunct in Leo. Leo is connected with creativity, love and children. Sometimes we find it difficult to communicate our feelings as Leo is a very proud sign. But it is a loyal sign and remains focused on those things that they love. With Venus and Saturn conjunct, we find that we are less likely to risk communicating our true feelings as the fear of rejection is strong.

As Venus approaches a trine with Pluto, we gain the courage to represent ourselves honestly and completely and allow others the same freedom. We don’t have to be right except to be right for ourselves. Each of us has to find our own right. Venus opposed to Neptune tests our reality skills. We have to identify our own inconvenient truths.
