Fly Like An Eagle

This will be a week of self examination. With the Sun in Leo conjunct Mercury in Leo there is a tendency to be completely self-contained. All energy is focalized and forced outward away from the center. When this dynamic takes place we become a powerful source of light. Like a beacon that can be seen from afar. That is why when we develop spiritual qualities others learn by our example. When our example is rooted in material goals others are not clear as to what we are trying to communicate.

Hard work will be rewarded in the near future. Although we must be careful when we think that we “deserve” something. Better we should ask, “can we afford it”? When it comes to the ego and it’s reinforcement we are better off not falling into that trap. This can be costly and result in miscalculations that cause us to have set backs. What truly belongs to you, no one can take away.

Creativity makes life so much more interesting and enjoyable. Take life up a notch and enjoy the finer and lighter aspects of the human condition. We spend so much time thinking about practical matters that things become dull. Try stimulating your imagination with relaxation and meditation. There is a solution to every problem and that solution is far more likely to occur to you if you don’t try to force it.

By the Light of the Moon

The week begins with the Moon in Aquarius which starts the wheels of the mind turning. Aquarius is very much connected with the future and is very forward thinking. The moon is exactly conjunct Neptune and this combination increases the fantasy or lack of reality connected with the thinking. Everything seems to be engulfed in a fog, like a ship at sea you can’t see the shoreline and you feel disoriented. This will clear up quickly and you will regain your sense of security as Mercury is a fast moving planet and this aspect is temporary.

Mercury and Neptune are opposed by Jupiter so it is best to err on the side of caution as you will not be easily forgiven any serious offenses. Also, don’t be too harsh a critic of the others until you understand their situation more fully and even then try to show some compassion. We are all only human and so let’s not have expectations that are unrealistic. “To err is human, to forgive divine.”

This week may seem a little monotonous so try to use your time to complete unfinished projects. Make sure you follow up on any correspondence that you have made. People will treat you seriously if you follow through. Organize your week so that when the pace picks up you won’t feel stressed.

Don’t Dig Half Way

This week will be filled with emotion and with the Sun in Cancer we tend to focus on matters at home. The Moon in Scorpio leads us to introspection and a little brooding. Scorpio and Cancer are emotional signs and descend to the depths of the human psyche. Scorpio digs the deepest while Cancer takes its lessons from the past.
Overall, the times are difficult and tedious and will require a great deal of fearlessness and patience to find solutions to problems that have been under the surface for many years.

The conjunction of Saturn and Mars in Virgo cause a stop and go environment. Just when you think you are gaining momentum an obstacle slows down the process. This back and forth energy will be tiring but is temporary. Take extra good care of your health as the many things that are going on are draining. Stay focused on your own goals and let the others worry about theirs.

Try to relax and stop the constant thinking that can lead only to depression and self recrimination. Let go of any negative thoughts and accept yourself completely, both the good and bad. Don’t look at life as a test but rather as a quest. There is a solution to every problem.

Happy Days Are Here Again

The weeks just fly by and it seems that the landscape of things changes ever so slightly. I suppose that it is really the day to day activities that determine our ultimate happiness. If we can’t be happy in the day, how can we be happy in a whole lifetime. The last two weeks have been complicated by outside influences that have taken their toll. However, we can look at life from any perspective and sometimes we just have to take a moment to be thankful for the things that we do have. How we take life is what determines our attitude and potential for happiness.

The summer is a laborious time of the year when we have to tend the crops that we have planted. However, soon we will be able to harvest those crops and this is the benefit we receive for the hard work. The coming months will emphasize just these things. The daily grind will continue almost relentlessly. These are the little things that continue to build our character and remind us that we are flexible and resilient.

Fast forward to the Fall which will bring the many longed for rewards of our very tough summer. Patience is the only virtue. Be optimistic rather than pessimistic as you pay the same price. Stay youthful by looking forward to the future and the unknown secrets that life will reveal.
