In light of the holiday season, it’s a good idea to be thankful.  Whatever our gifts in life, we should be grateful.  We all possess currency of some kind and it is good to realize how fortunate we are.  In life, our situation undergoes changes for the better and for the worse.  But really it is all in the way you look at it.  Very good news for one person could be very bad news for another and vice versa.  In Harlem, they say “bring me no good news.”

Free will is an important part of the human dynamic and it is often underutilized.  We think that we are using free will but it takes a great deal of work to free your-self from generations of influences. 

Spread your wings.  The coming weeks are going to be filled with activity and you are going to feel that you are in your element.  There is a sense of relief that you will experience.  Although things may not have worked out entirely as you planned, there is the distinct feeling that you have made progress.

Don’t overlook situations that have a lot of potential. You may think that something is a waste of time but, in fact, it could lead to something much more satisfying than you realize.  Great oaks from little acorns grow.

Sometimes things come to us in a most unexpected way.  You always think that it is your friends who will deliver in your time of need but sometimes, it is your enemies.  We are often changing enemies into friends and friends into enemies.  It is this dynamic that allows us to really understand who we are. 

It is a struggle to really know ourselves.  It is a transformational process that goes on life long.  There are no shortcuts, it is a constant effort to reveal who we are.   We want to know and others want to know too.  It doesn’t happen all at once.  Sometimes we fail to recognize when something has changed and we are as much surprised by it as anyone else.

Embrace change in your life as this is the only constant.  Be flexible and adaptable to situations and this will guarantee their success.  Look to nature for clues of evolution.  Nature and nurture are the influences that have made us who we are.  We are all unique and have a purpose in working for the greater good of mankind.

The week ahead holds many opportunities to mold a situation into something much better. The previous few weeks have been taxing emotionally, but this is now offering you a new perspective.  Sometimes we forget to appreciate what we have accomplished over the long term.  All change takes a lot more time than we think.  It is a slow process that occurs internally and often it doesn’t manifest itself for months or years.  Try to be courageous in the face of these changes.  Good fortune follows the courageous one.

Everything is good and bad at the same time. What is good for something may be bad for something else.  There are no absolutes in terms of good or bad, happy or sad, rich or poor.  We all have some of both.  What we are is in the eye of our own beholding.  See yourself in the best possible light.

Your words carry a lot of punch so make sure you think before you speak. The idea is to turn enemies into friends and not the other way around.  If you don’t control this tendency to speak out you will suffer considerable blow back under the current planetary influences. Make sure that when you are stating an opinion that you make it clear that it is an opinion and not a fact.

Stories that get started at this time seem to take on a life of their own.  It is a circuitous effect that could be damaging or at least annoying.  Don’t contribute to any gossip that is making the rounds. Stay focused on your plan and don’t get distracted by superfluous information.

Offer your help to those in need.  They may be experiencing a difficult situation and your encouragement would be very meaningful.  Complications in your thinking may become apparent. Do your best to make any adjustments that keep things moving in a positive direction.

Don’t sit on the fence. If you have an opinion this is the time to voice it.  There are advantages and disadvantages to stating your position but it is your position. Stand up to it.  You may think that you save yourself some aggravation by just nodding at the status quo but, really, isn’t that a little disingenuous.  You are not trying to influence other people. You are just trying to express your true self.

This is a great time to focus on underlying issues.  Things are not what they appear to be. Take a deeper look at your own motivation and you will see that you are partly the cause of the reaction.  It is important to be diplomatic without lying.  I know this is a fine line for some but you must know the difference.

Organize your thoughts so that you are well prepared.  Something unexpected could come up.  You should be ready.  Spontaneity is well prepared.

There are some very vain people that think that they can deliver the message that no one else can.  You either have to be vain or completely naïve.  The messenger always gets hit over the head.  Steer clear of becoming someone else’s truth serum.  That is better left to the Gods. If you want to make a point in life, then set a good example.  That takes a long time but it is by far the safest and most effective way of telling the truth.  In antiquity, it is told that if we knew the truth, we would perish.

This reminds me that we often draw a lot of conclusions that are not always based in fact.  We shadow other people’s intentions with what actually may be our own intentions.  Be careful that you are not projecting your own agenda onto someone else.

New attitudes toward discipline dominate the coming few years. Monetary discipline seems to be the primary focus of what can be expected. It’s the old story that if you make 99 dollars and spend 100 dollars, you will become a pauper.  On the other hand, if you make 100 dollars and spend only 99 dollars, you will become a rich man or woman.  This seems simple until you incorporate the egotistical needs of the human being.  This looks to be the fight for individuals as well as institutions.

This is an ideal time to put your house in order. There are plenty of events coming up that will require your full attention. You need to be prepared to take on the added responsibility without becoming overly stressed.  This is something that must be addressed now.

Finally, you can take a breather.  The last several weeks have been filled with angst and uncertainty.  Not that these feelings will totally subside but they will at least be less troublesome.  “High five” yourself for execution of a project that didn’t look like it was going anywhere.  You will have the laws of nature directing you toward your destination. Allow yourself to be directed and don’t fight the momentum.

Spend more time putting ideas into action.  Too much thinking doesn’t get the job done.  You’ve spent plenty of time formulating your plan, so just do it.  No one wants to make mistakes but sometimes you have to take a risk. As long as you have thought things out well, move forward with purpose.

There are some people who genuinely have your back.  They know you and are willing to put their reputation on the line.  Don’t disappoint them by dropping the ball.  Opportunity knocks!

Gradually discipline yourself to take care of all the details. Don’t leave loose ends that will sabotage a good deal.  Organization is the key to good management. Use the key.

This week will have you wondering if you need to consult with an astrologer or psychologist.  Your closely held values come squarely under attack. This isn’t a bad thing as it will get you to think about why it is that you hold these values.  It will help you examine the experiences in your life that have molded your character.  It is difficult to change your nature but it is possible. Be open to making some adjustments that lead to a more positive outcome.

Some of the choices that have been available to you in the previous few years are now entering a period of time where you will now be forced to follow through.  If you don’t make the choice then one will be made for you.  Getting backed into a corner is not an ideal position.  Take a chance on what you really want.
