Pennies From Heaven

This week starts with 3 planets in Earth signs and 4 planets in Fire signs. This combination is sure to make you feel like you are being bulldozed since Fire and Earth don’t cooperate well. The Moon in Gemini sets the tone for the week and this helps to mediate the discord. Gemini is airy and intelligent and bounces from one issue to the next without emotional entanglement.

The conjunction of the Sun and Mercury in Capricorn creates a subjective view of what is happening in the immediate environment. Serious considerations need to be made with reference to professional matters. This is a good time to analyze the possibilities for change and to break with entrenched habits that have been delaying success.

Your fantasy is a good vehicle for travel in the coming year. Take a chance and put long thought out ideas into play. Higher influences are there to provide you with assistance that may seem almost unattainable from a practical point of view. Allow yourself the freedom to throw the dice.

Any action taken can always be misinterpreted by the observer but you are only responsible for your own example. No act is committed without a witness. Cast a clear shadow for others to model.

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

Time to get serious with the Sun in Capricorn and the Moon in Aquarius directs our attention toward the future.  It sounds like the beginning of a good chess game.  The coming week starts out with some upheaval that began at the end of last week.

It seems that there are some misconceptions about the motivations of people with whom you transacted business.  The rumor mill sent people reeling when their illusions became delusions.  This created an expectation that for many reasons didn’t manifest.

Mercury is conjunct Pluto, the demoted planet of late.  Don’t think that the gravity of this situation is less complex than originally stated.  Someone will need to do some explaining if a business commitment isn’t honored. Do the right thing and your actions will speak for you.

Saturn sends a trine to Mercury conjunct Pluto so this will equalize the pressure that has building due to poor communication.  This aspect creates a golden opportunity to correct any misunderstandings that have been bubbling under the surface. Solve this problem empirically.

Ecce Homo

Relief is in sight. Problems that have dogged you for weeks are finally abating. Slowly, thanks to the Mercury, Mars, Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius resolutions are in the making. Also, Saturn trine Pluto is creating a platform from which to work in the coming year.

Uranus square Mercury causes a stand off with any detractors that haven’t put their irritations to rest. This interference will allow you extra time to smooth out your plans and win the admiration of even your most ferocious enemy. Still, keep a sock in it until you have everything firmed up.

Venus is in the sign Capricorn which keeps any romantic situations at a distance. Also, when Venus is in Capricorn people tend to hide behind their voice. Keep an eye out for this pretentious behavior and put it into a perspective that serves you best.

Meanwhile, don’t over do during the holiday season. This week makes it especially easy to overindulge. Keep your health at the forefront of your actions or you may have to suffer the consequences. Take this week to remind yourself of all the good things you have to feel thankful for.

Anyone for Sudoku?

Beginning Sunday, the Sun is sextile the planet Neptune. The sextile aspect is ruled by Venus so there is a strong inclination toward fantasy and illusion.  The Sun is connected with realization, so the reality may not always live up to the illusion.  This is the underpinning of the week that is now developing.  Ideally, the Sun and Neptune cooperate to produce creative problem solving.

This week is a bit like a volcano just coming back to life after a long inactive period.   Three planets (Mercury, Mars & Jupiter) are in the fiery sign of Sagittarius.  This tends to open all the spigots.  Be careful that you don’t speak without thinking.  Fortunately, Mars tends to speed up all of our perceptions so it should be possible to keep tempers from flaring and problems from taking on significant importance.

Venus is conjunct Pluto and this creates a volatile explosion of emotions.  Keep your composure, as this aspect is very short lived. Venus moves into Capricorn and this will cool down any event that has been escalating.  Also, at work is Saturn, Moon conjunction trine the Venus, Pluto conjunction. This allows for containment of the situation going forward.  Basically, the game changes.

Another important development is that Saturn has just gone retrograde.  This will last for approximately 4 months.  So expect that any advancement of career plans will be put on the back burner.  Other options include, but are not limited to, revisiting a previous employment or business opportunity.

The Simple Contains the Complex

The Sun, Venus, Jupiter & Pluto are all in the sign Sagittarius.  This is the sign of plenty.  So expect plenty of everything during the coming week.  Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, therefore it dominates this stellium of four planets.  This means that the sky is the limit, feel free to indulge yourself in all the excesses you desire. You know “buy now, pay later”.  You may actually get by with this as this combination of planets is very fortunate.

Mercury in Scorpio throws a healthy amount of suspicion into the mix.  Mercury is getting the square aspect from Saturn which usually indicates that you are in conflict with your environment and your timing might not be so good.  Don’t take action until you can obtain an objective overview.  This will eliminate any embarrassing situation that might crop up.

The Sun is in square to the planet Uranus so expect the unexpected.  Prepare yourself for any situation that arises with quick thinking. Whether the arrows of cupid or the sword of Damocles is headed your way, you won’t be caught off guard.

If this all sounds chaotic…you are right.  Don’t run for cover, direct the influences like a great orchestra conductor. By week’s end, you will have gained judgment and insight into complex people and situations.

Good Fortune Follows the Courageous One

This looks like a great week ahead with a stellium (4 planets or more in a sign) in Sagittarius. The Sun and Jupiter are conjunct so we can expect our ideas will be met with growing popularity. In fact, those ideas have practically taken on supernatural powers. I’d say it is good to run with this, as long as you don’t become too impetuous.

The Sun and Moon are sextile so this will help bring the conscious and the unconscious together in a harmonious way. In other words, the right hand will know what the left hand is doing. When it comes to the implementation of any plan, this concept is a must.

Saturn is in trine to Pluto and Mars is in square to Saturn. This is a tricky combination of aspects. Discipline is required to make sure that all actions are supported by solid fact. However, with the Mercury square Neptune aspect there is still some deception that has not yet surfaced. Integrate time and space to mediate this discrepancy.

Anxiety is caused by too much foresight. Try to focus on the immediate. This will allow you to feel more secure and neutralize your fear, uncertainty and doubt. Luck is above the horoscope.

The Tides of Change Come Swiftly

Money, money, money makes the world go round. Strong dependence on the resources of others bring about trying times for people everywhere. Underground operations are at work and only a few are privy to the imminent situation surrounding us. The economy is held in check by structures that are prone to collapse. Yet luck is a factor.

On a more personal note, we can fight our own tunnel vision by taking a good hard look at ourselves and those who are around us. Tell me with whom you go and I’ll tell you who you are. Self actualization is achieved through action. Taking the first step is the hardest in a long journey. No change is possible that doesn’t start with the self.

Reality and illusion are strongly opposed. Rich people can afford their illusions. The rest of us take a more pragmatic approach or perhaps a more spiritual one. This is an ideal time to perform necessary adjustments to our perspective. It is possible to make things work for us, but we have to have rational expectations.

Go to bat for issues that you value. Others will appreciate your candor and you will be expressing yourself truthfully. Get into the moment, and remember that all changes must be made in the present.

Know When to Hold & Know When to Fold

The underlying tone of the week is determined by the Sun in Scorpio square the Moon in Leo.  In other words, self- determination is in conflict with pride.  Don’t let pride stand in the way of making deals that will serve your purpose far into the future.  The square aspect in astrology is the most difficult to resolve.  But by having a purpose, all obstacles can be evaluated and put into the proper perspective.  Patience is the only virtue.

Other people’s money is a very sensitive subject.  Put effort into your ventures and others will profit too.  Hidden resources are there for your discovery.  What you obtain in the right way will be source of happiness and will be maintained.  Quick thinking pushes you into new dimensions.  Opportunity is knocking.

People with serious intentions are trying to recruit you.  Always question their motivations.  Helping people to achieve their goals is courageous but decide what the political ramifications will be.  The planet Saturn is connected with foresight.  Foresight is a valuable quality and makes a good chess player.

Compromise will be the best mode of withdrawal.  Keep perspective when dealing with people in authority.  “Life is short, art is long, experience gained through much pain, judgment highly difficult.”- Hippocrates

Fools Rush In

The week starts out with the Sun opposed to the Moon (A Full Moon).  In fact the Sun along with several other planets are opposing the Moon.  The Moon represents the unconscious and it is currently undergoing a number of unidentified stresses that make for a rather disconcerting start.

There seems to be a barrage of unexpected turns which were not part of the original plan.  These tactical maneuvers are resolved by quick and creative thinking.  Due to critical thinking, the week builds great momentum and results in activity that gets the job done.  Previous obstacles are carried away by the tides of change.

Give your reality a test drive before signing on permanently.  Now is the time to make the necessary modifications that will assure your success.  Time is the best story teller of all.
Move ahead with any plans that have been on the back burner, since Saturn is keeping the wily influences at bay.

There is a saying “Bring me no good news” because what is good news for one person can be very bad news for another.  Hence, good news for who?

Shake, Rattle & Roll

Politics and more politics…it’s usually over before you know you’ve been playing. But the world at large doesn’t stop turning just because you’ve had enough. The beat goes on. With five planets in Scorpio this week and beyond, the hidden agenda churns on. There seems to be no end in sight and the intensity is wearing even to hardy souls.

Mercury and Jupiter conjunct are squared by Saturn so it seems that you are taking one step forward and two steps back with everyone watching. Just when you think you’ve gotten some traction, there is another slippery slope. These situations call for supporting troops. Call in your markers.

Mars trine Uranus keeps your energy level from going flat. Keep the pressure on as this week decisions will be made that will determine the course of history…at least your history. Unconsciously, we are at a cross roads and underneath it all we realize that humanitarianism and self absorption are just another polarization, one that needs to be balanced.

Idealism has flown out the window, so let your neighbor know that it’s his problem too. Cooperation is the obvious solution, but the power struggle impedes progress. Remember that the simple contains the complex.
