Fair Play

All is fair in love and war.  Don’t expect fair play in the coming weeks.  You can stick your head in the sand and think that it is all going to pass but you really need to stand up to this kind of harassment. Some people just don’t know where to stop. They push until they get a reaction.  This isn’t a competent psychological tactic but it is still popular with those who are less sophisticated.

The personal you and the public you are coming into conflict.  You have to make a choice.  Choose one and apply it both personally and publicly. There are not too many honest Abe’s in the business world.  It’s all about outsmarting the other guy.  This seems to be infantile but it is serious business for many.

Read between the lines.  See what is there but also what is missing.  This approach will provide a clearer and more complete view of the situation.  Make a decision.  Don’t straddle between yes and no.  Other people need to know what to expect from you.  They prefer that you are predictable.  Give them a little security.

Try to garner some personal time that allows you to unwind and gather your thoughts.  Don’t let anyone horn in on this time that is so therapeutic for you.  You control this matter and if you don’t create some space your health will suffer.

Person to Person

The decision has already been made but you still feel like you are in the running.  This comes as a surprise to you.  It seemed like everything was going smoothly and then all of a sudden someone makes an unexpected move.  Generally, this is not all bad.  Sometimes things really do happen for the better.  You try very hard to direct your destiny but sometimes there are interferences.  Interferences are difficult to predict but they often create delays and changes in venue.

Overall, it seems that people are taking a hard line.  They present it with cunning and sugarcoat it but if you look at it closely, you will see the chinks in the plan.

Don’t bring peanuts.  When you make an offer, it needs to have a little meat on the bones.  Not “here’s nothing, keep it well.”  That may be taken on by amateurs but a consummate pro will not let it go unnoticed. Speak up and reject any plan that is not in your best interest.  You gain respect when you call out unfair practices.

Turn situations into a win, win.  You win and they win.  Clever and critical thinking bring about outstanding results.  Don’t cave.

Relative Curiosity

It’s good to like what you are doing.  It creates a positive energy field that attracts new people and events into your life. You feel lighter and much more accommodating when you like what you do.  It isn’t always possible to do what you like and most professions require doing a lot of what you don’t like. Over time, though, you should be able to gravitate toward the things that give you the most satisfaction.

Keep in mind that everything takes a lot more time than you think.  You may be feeling impatient and ready to give up on some things because a substantial amount of effort is required.  It is usually at that moment that you are ready to make a break through.  Persevere.

Hard work comes naturally to you at this time.  You don’t balk at some of the duties that ordinarily send you into a tizzy.  Stay focused as there is no job that can’t get done. You have a great deal of energy and if you are willing and patient, you can accomplish most anything.

Don’t forget to give into some light hearted fun.  This is refreshing and will keep you on track.  Don’t let the cold weather keep you from enjoying the great outdoors.  Even if you work out, there is nothing like nature to bring out the best in you.

Odd Ducks

Everything seems so uncertain at this point that it is difficult to get any sense of security.  And security is a high priority at the moment.  Unfortunately, it is probably not attainable in these times.   The only thing that is certain is change.  You must be flexible to stand up to the pressures and stresses of daily life.  One way to be flexible is not to anticipate a specific outcome.  Be open to letting information flow in and out of your conscious mind.  This should give you a more strategic point of view.  Information is king.

Kindly disregard any rude attempts at getting your attention.  Your surroundings are filled with aggressive people seeking a sure path.  They want to know exactly where you stand.  This isn’t possible as everything is in constant motion.  Not that you aren’t willing to make a commitment, but not until you have all the facts.

Arbitration is the best method of seeking a solution at this time.  Any direct confrontations will be rebuffed. See what is there but also see what is missing.  This will help you see the full scope of the matter.  Don’t allow others to strongly influence you.  Listen but don’t act until you are ready.

A Litmus Test

You need to get fired up.  You have all sorts of ideas floating around in your head and no focus or plan to put them to work.  With the Sun in practical Capricorn, you will begin to formulate a plan to get things moving.  Now that the holidays are behind, you don’t have any more excuses for postponing those things that really need to get done.  Dedicate a day or two to cleaning off your desk and then go to town.

You will get the occasional lightning bolt that gets your creative juices flowing. You will get a flash of information that seems to appear out of nowhere.  Learn to trust your instincts and rely less on other people’s opinions.  This will help you become more self-assured.  You have just as good a chance of being right as they do.

Dig deep in order to get all the facts.  Don’t assume.  Your judgment is likely going to become a center piece of any negotiations.  It is good to be thorough and it will be noticed by those who can make a difference.  Elevate your mood by staying focused on the positive.

Take a little time to enjoy yourself.  Take a walk or a ride on your bicycle.  This will help in keeping your mind clear.

Rumination

Over the years it may become apparent that we need to make some adjustments to our thinking and this is always somewhat anxiety producing.  It is difficult to change.  Especially when it comes to changes in your nature.  It feels uncomfortable and nerve racking.  Yet, it seems that these changes should be made to increase the likelihood of a healthier and happier life. It is often tiring to constantly be examining the underpinnings of our psychology and it shouldn’t be so labor intensive.  Better to keep active in life and the need for change will emerge in a natural way.

Reflections of our life are constantly being thrown at us.  We act and react in some good and bad ways.  It depends on how foreign the concept.  If it surprises us, we may have an emotional and unpleasant reaction.  This may translate into a kind of blow that may be experienced in varying ways.

You may be especially sensitive to your body.  As if every ache and pain takes on a life of its own.  This hypersensitivity will soon pass.  Don’t overreact to these symptoms but rather examine them. Try to get to the core.  Take action if necessary.

The New Year is a chance to progress in every aspect of life.  Use this year constructively and don’t take yourself too seriously.  Lighten up.

Are You Listening?

Both the practical and idealistic play a part in our current view of things. These two elements are very hard to blend.  Earth and fire are elements that usually have the effect of steam rolling over things.  It’s as if no one is listening to you or they are talking over you as if you don’t exist.  This erratic behavior is somewhat unnerving.  You may not be able to get other people to stop doing it, but make sure that you aren’t doing it. People who listen always have a lot of friends.

Being an idealist is a tough ideal to maintain.  As life goes on, you realize that compromise is needed.  You may have to work in an industry that isn’t necessarily ideal but you have to earn a living.  Apply your good values to whatever you do.  You can’t do more than that.

Nothing is perfect except the un-manifested. Once something comes into being it is no longer perfect.  Try to strive for attainable and realistic goals.  Otherwise, you may become down-hearted.  Our life is a creation of our own making.  Some things are given and other things have to be worked for.  Life isn’t fair but we all have gifts and handicaps that challenge us.

Work at getting to know yourself better.  This is a tangible and rewarding goal.  You pay for everything. You pay for what you want and you pay for what you don’t want.  Know what you want and be willing to pay the price.  It’s different for everyone.

Prayer of the Heart

Some acts are unspeakable…there are no words.  Yet life continues and nature goes about its job of healing the human heart.  As human beings it is difficult to understand what higher influences are at work.  We can only believe that there is some purpose to our suffering.  We never know what the future will bring and we can only do our best by setting a good example. Beyond this, we are powerless to intervene in the bigger picture.

We can take little steps, in hopes that we can mitigate some human suffering, but we cannot know how much of it will change the outcome. We can try to use free will and foresight and believe that this will have some impact on the outcome for mankind.  But, there are no guarantees.

Although the world undergoes some events that we all become a part of, we should try to maintain our optimism and perspective.  We cannot see the whole picture and we cannot judge the significance of any act.

We can only hope that our short time on earth is not without purpose.

Fast Forward

You find yourself having very vivid dreams.  You may see names of people or people that are specific to your life at this time.  You are bringing emotional feelings to the surface through the activity of dreaming.  Actually, it is believed that you can solve problems in your sleep.

The last week you have felt energized.  You have been able to accomplish a lot.  This leaves you a little exhausted and a little irritable.  Usually, getting a lot of work done leaves you feeling relieved but it seems that there is some anxiety connected with this great amount of energy that you are expending.

Perhaps it is the holiday season that gives you anxiety.  It should be a happy time of the year but there are often obligations that lead you to feel slightly uneasy.  Life is difficult enough without the added pressure of the holiday season. Take care of your health, as you could be vulnerable with all the events that are on your schedule.

Underlying issues come to the surface. This is good because you can now deal with them.  As long as they remain unconscious you are unaware of the conflicts that exist within.  Take advantage of this time to control your nervous temperament. Don’t let you mood ruin your good times.

Careful Calculations

Step out of your comfort zone.  Everything within you may be telling you to play it safe but step out and bring some new influences into your life.  These new influences will bring new people with new ideas.  This will be very stimulating and will encourage your own creativity.  Stay alert as new opportunities may come and the only enemy will be your own reluctance.

Don’t make things more complicated.  You find yourself with an infinite number of choices but are afraid to make a move.  Just make a choice and take action.  This is by far the best solution.  Otherwise, you will spend valuable time making assessments and in the end not do anything. Hesitation, in this case, is more dangerous to your prospects.

You are much more together than you think you are.  Taking a step will reinforce your self-confidence.  There is no such thing as a mistake. Mistakes lead to better solutions in the future.  They are a learning tool.

You are driven to go deeper in your search for truth.  Don’t dig half way.
