Fair Play

All is fair in love and war.  Don’t expect fair play in the coming weeks.  You can stick your head in the sand and think that it is all going to pass but you really need to stand up to this kind of harassment. Some people just don’t know where to stop. They push until they get a reaction.  This isn’t a competent psychological tactic but it is still popular with those who are less sophisticated.

The personal you and the public you are coming into conflict.  You have to make a choice.  Choose one and apply it both personally and publicly. There are not too many honest Abe’s in the business world.  It’s all about outsmarting the other guy.  This seems to be infantile but it is serious business for many.

Read between the lines.  See what is there but also what is missing.  This approach will provide a clearer and more complete view of the situation.  Make a decision.  Don’t straddle between yes and no.  Other people need to know what to expect from you.  They prefer that you are predictable.  Give them a little security.

Try to garner some personal time that allows you to unwind and gather your thoughts.  Don’t let anyone horn in on this time that is so therapeutic for you.  You control this matter and if you don’t create some space your health will suffer.
