With A Grain of Salt

It’s very hard to get results when you have one foot in and one foot out. This seems like a good
safety measure but it really shows lack of commitment. It’s often the case when you are in a
personal relationship but also when you are in a business relationship. It seems comfortable to have an escape hatch. You might be missing out, however, because making a commitment allows you to fully reap the benefits of these relationships.

Human nature is a complicated thing. As long as we are human, we will suffer the indignities
of being human along with celebrating the dignities. Freud said that we have a death wish. The unconscious is not always predisposed to a healthy approach to life. We sometimes undermine our own best interest. The more conscious we become, the more we are able to influence the daily grind of living. We can enjoy the happy hour, the happy day, the happy life.

Problems come and go and we do our best to resolve these situations. When we have the right
thinking, we make progress and things should start to make sense. We can start to envision a big picture. If we have the wrong thinking, the pieces don’t seem to fit together in a satisfactory
way. We gain right thinking by trial and error. But if we keep trying we will make progress and
life will become simpler.

What we achieve in the right way will be a source of happiness and will be maintained. What we achieve in the wrong way will be a source of unhappiness and will be lost. We have a great deal more control over our future when our actions are conscious. We can consciously create circumstances.
